Hi,
I have a "Drill Doctor" and absolutely love it!! I had scores of bits that would not cut before I got it and now I have none. It's easy to use, will do HS and cobalt bits (uses two different angles)and sets up/stores in a few seconds. I got the largest model they had at the time. Will do bits up to 3/4".
One of the best tool investments I ever made (in the top ten for sure LOL).
Regards,
Mack

The "Drill Doctor" actually works as advertised. You won't be disappointed.
I've gone through 4 or 5 different drill sharpeners over the past 35 years. The Drill Doctor beats them all, hands down. So... Vote #3 for the Drill doctor. I have the 400XP. It doesn't do split point or brad point drills, but works absolutely fine on the standard drills. I do a lot of metal work, so my drills get a real workout.

One thing I especially appreciate is that you can leave it in the box for a year, set it up and go "oh that's right, this is how it works" and you're right back sharpening bits. Incredibly simple and effective machine.

I'll second the drill doctor. I have an older version 350# for home shops. Will sharpen high speed drills from 1/2" down to 1/8". I use a lot of very small drills, the drill doctor is hit and miss on the drills less than 1/8". Fortunately the smaller drills are less expensive, I rarely try to sharpen them, just buy new ones.

I'll 3rd, 4th, and 5th that on the Drill Doctor. Works great.

Does anyone know if the Drill Doctor will sharpen brad point bits? Thanks,Lefky
I know that mine will NOT. I went to their website when this thread started to see if a new model would do so but it appears not.
