Hey yall,
I am looking for supplies to make the retail display cabinets. I have made a few before, but this time I need the aluminum frame material for the glass. I can’t find a supplier for this stuff anywhere on the net. What is the name for this stuff and how hard is it to work with.
Thanks for reading,
Mike

The word "channel" comes to mind, but I don't know for sure that it's specific enough. I have several on-line metal places bookmarked. The following folks are the ones I would call and ask. They seem very customer-oriented, and specialize in "the small market."

Two sources are Outwater(www.outwater.com) and C.R Laurance (www.crlaurance.com)
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies,
I couldn't find the hardware on the first link and the second link appeared to not work. I have since searched for "metal and aliminum glazing" with a little better success. I also want to know if any one has worked with this stuff. I normaly use wood, but this is a jewelery retail display case, so the visibility can not be comprimised.
HELP, the bid is due soon!
Thanks,
Mike
See if this works--

The Outwater moldings are listed under"Aluminum store fixture and showcase moldings." Part numbers are ALU750, ALU 153, ALU123,AlU701,
ALU235,and ALU113.
I thought I entered C.R Laurence's website correctly, but here it is again: http://www.crlaurence.com. Their phone number is 1-800-421-6144. The moldings are listed as "CRL Corner Extrusion" part# D7201, and "CRL Base Channel", #D3024.
I've used a lot of the C.R. Laurence molding to make museum exhibit case tops by cutting the molding to size and siliconing in Plexiglas to form the top and sides.
Hope this helps.
