Has anyone else tried using DeWalt’s service website, www.dewaltservicenet.com?
Theoretically it should be terrific because they have all the tools, diagrams, parts, even repair videos.
But I am finding it ghastly slow. And on top of that, they seem to have chosen Apple’s Quicktime as their video program, rather than RealPlayer or Windows Media Player, which meant another download.
Has anyone had success using the site?

I used it with great success. Parts were shipped promptly and the parts manuals were easy to use.
I guess that means I'll keep trying.
If it's a Dewalt part/repair site, it will get a lot of hits.
About Quicktime, Macs are great, aren't they.

I just go to the counter at the DW service center about 12 miles away from my house as I'm in the area frequently. That way, they have to look me in the eye when they answer. ha..ha..

I have used this website with great success, and have always received prompt responses to any questions posed. I agree sometimes the site is unbearably slow. To me, they have been a model for other companies customer service departments.
I was looking for a parts/price diagram for the mobile base under my DW-746, and couldn't find anything on the web site, sent in an email, and received a response in less than 15 min, and a faxed parts/price sheet 5 min later. Couldn't ask for better service.
