I just read the article in fine woodworking Tools and shops about riving knives. I have had kickbacks in the past and have been very careful in attempting to prevent them again. I have a Delta unisaw approx 8 years old and am interested if anyone has heard if Delta will have a retrofit kit available to install both high and low profile riving knives on existing machines . would be interested in purchasing these rather than a splitter.

This isn't an "official" Delta riving knife retrofit, but so far it looks as though it's the only thing on the market that it addresses this issue. I just ordered one for my Grizzly 1023 saw, so I haven't seen one in person yet. But I'm hoping that it's delivered today..
