I dug out an old Delta 6 ” stacked Dado Blade set today, after cleaning them up a bit, I find that I am not able to identify which rim blade is which. My rim blades has about a 3″ raised ridge on one side. This is Very slight, but defiantly put there for some reason. I need to know, is this side to face the inside chippers, or fase the outside of the dado.
Thanks
Clement

Look at the profile of the teeth, they are probably all bevelled in the same direction, instead of alternating directions like most saw blades. The point of the bevels should be on the outside of your stack.
Ill take a close look at the teeth today. I had not heard of that test.
Thanks again
Clement
I have the same set. It was a freebie when I bought my table saw. The raised area goes in or towards the chippers.
