The little banner icon that you use to favorite the article is a toggle. Click it once and it adds to your favorites. Click it again and it deletes from your favorites.

On my Microsoft Windows 10 based computer, I right click on the favorite I want to delete in the favorites list and then choose "Delete" from the menu choices that appear next to it.
It is far beyond annoying to not be able to right-click and remove an entry from a favorites sub-list. There should not have to be a workaround. There isn't even a "manage favorites" menu like what would have existed in Explorer.
I like that the scroll bars were added to the lists and that it returns you to exactly where you were in the list when you use the "back" button - but these are the only improvements so far. I hate that I can't have custom tab widths, so that I can fit more in the menu bar too. These were all good features that were trashed for no apparent reason.
For me at least, it is about a 50/50 mix for favorability on the changes from Explorer to Edge... So, I guess I'll have to keep Chrome and Mozilla handy for all the things that Edge does not work to do.

Manage favorites is still there, just not as obvious. Try choosing favorites, then click on "..." at top of menu, then choose "Manage favorites".
I am learning a lot from this thread! It appears our browsing experiences on desktop machines varys quite a bit depending on equipment.
As I write this with my iMac + Chrome browser, my right click brings up a local editing menu with UNDO, CUT, COPY, PASTE, PRINT and more to assist my writing.
When browsing my favorites, the right click brings up a different local menu (see below)
There is no ... (dot dot dot) at the top of the menu and no Manage Favorites that I can find. Attached below is a screencap of my favorites screen.
I even tried booting the Safari browser (free with every MAC) and get the same results as I do with Chrome.
You folks with Windows machines seem to get extra functionality!
