Anyone had success getting the dado stack to the alleged 13/16″ available on the Bosch?
The arbor nut seems pretty sketchy over 9/16″ IMO. I have been thinking about purchasing a couple of blade stabilizers to use in place of the inner and outer arbor washers (presuming they are thinner than the washers) to see if that works.
Normally I wouldn’t ask, but as I get older, I kind of like the fact that I still have all of my fingers.

This is not the best saw for dado work.
Unlike cabinet saws, there is no lock to keep the blade locked in at a certain height. In normal cutting operations this is not a problem.
But, the one and only time I had occasion to use a dado blade, the blade crept down slightly over some long runs, and I had to keep a sharp eye on it.
I have a Bosch service center nearby, and they know me well enough, that they agreed to "fix" it for free, which they did.
But I have not had to use it since, to see, if in fact, the dado will stay where you set it.

Interesting comment about the lack of a lock for the blade height. Care to share how the services guys "fixed"it?Greg
That was nearly a year ago, and I can't remember what the guy told me. I would imagine they just tightened something up. <G>********************************************************

I have some ideas of my own so thanks.Cheers Greg
A blade stabilizer wouldn't hurt, but the best thing you can do is make sure you're using a good blade. I use a Forrest WW II.

For larger dado stacks, swap the inner and outer arbor washers. Inside outside, and outside inside. If you can't use the outer washer, just use the nut. It works fine by itself.
Now swapping outer for inner is something I hadn't thought of.Cheers Greg
