I am wondering if anyone can explain to me about dado blades. Is there just an arbor that regular kerf blades rotate on, or a specific set of blades that go together??
I have a Bosch jobsite tablesaw and I reall want to start doing some dadoing.

my hero!
There's a dado option that might not be mentioned on the Forrest site. It's a true stacked dado (not a wobble dado) that can be adjusted with a dial rather than shims. I don't know if it would fit on your Bosch saw past a certain width (depends on the length of the arbor), but it's the Freud Dial-a-Width dado. You can find info on it at Amazon.
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
thanks forestgirl
i will check that out

I used to have a Bosch 4000. I think it will take a dado stack up to 3/4" wide. You might not have enough room for the outside arbor washer if you go that wide, but using the arbor nut against the outside blade is ok. A 6" set rather than an 8" should be used on that saw. I think the 8" is too heavy for it.
thanks joespehar!

I also have a Bosch 4000 table saw. I absolutely love it.I run a Freud 200 series dado that is 8 inch and have no problems at all. Like you said, you do have to remove the outside washer and just use the nut when performing a large dado cut. I have used mine all the way up to 13/16".Josh
you guys rock
thanks for all the input
now i just have to start affording this stuff!
