What is the difference between soft curly maple and hard curly maple in terms of figure? When you see furniture made from curly maple is it typically hard or soft? Is the curl typically more pronounced in one more then the other?
Thanks

In my own personal experience, soft maple has more figure than hard maple. That doesn't mean you can't find HM boards with a lot of figure, but it's just more common in the soft maple.
