Anyone ever make anything out of wood from a Crepe Myrtle tree? For some sentimental reasons, I would like to use this particular wood, but I have never heard of it being used in woodworking.

My home-town city limits signs have Crepe Myrtle City at the very bottom. We have an abundance of them here in Ga. I also have never seen them used for furniture.
Hopefully Jon Arno or Neimechek (spelling) will respond as they should know. I'm sure there are others that have posed this question also. Curious to see. If nothing else, use it on a small project to see what happens. Good Luck..
