I have just purchased a 37 inch performax dual drum sander on the used market. It’s in pretty good condition and the price was too good to let go. I was looking and woodmaster drum sanders and prefer the idea of using hook and loop paper like the woodmaster. This would enable me to put multiple grits on a single drum when sanding individual boards. I plan to convert my machine to use hook and loop paper. I googled hook and loop and found a website that sells adhesive backed hook and loop material, http://www.buyhookandloop.com/. I’m not sure what to buy, and don’t have any sandpaper for reference. I will be ordering that today as well.
Do I apply material that has the hook to drum and the paper has the loop? or, do I apply material that has the loop to the drum and paper has the loop?
Thank you for any help you can offer.
