I am currently using a hvlp gravity feed gun but am contemplating a pressure feed set up for obvious reasons, is a set up available that i can switch between remote pot & gravity feed or a regular cup? thanx

Two things to consider first. A pressure feed cup will allow you to spray heavier bodied material, but will not let you tilt the gun to get into tight spots without starvation. A pressure pot will allow you to orient the gun any direction you wish with no starvation, as long as you don't kink the material hose. The cup hooks directly to your gun, and pressure is regulated at your compressor. The pot hoses connect to your gun and you regulate the pressure at your gun. It's a 5 minute job to change out.
CA Tech makes both. The cup is about $100, and the pot and hoses about $250. Look at http://www.homesteadfinishing.com for both. The support from Jewitt and CA Tch is exellent.
is there such a thing as a gravity feed that swaps out with a pressure pot (remote pot)?
Just remove the cup and mount from your gravity feed gun. The fluid feed goes where your pick-up is, and the air (with the pressure gauge) goes where is usually does.
All the Asturo stuff is available at homestead.
If you do convert your gravity feed gun, you will need to use a much smaller needle/nozzle air cap set.
I also recommend Homestead finishing. I just bought a Wolcom geo pressure feed system from Jeff. I'm still in a state of sticker shock but I sure love the way it sprays.
Rather than a pressure pot Jim, you might consider looking at the low pressure pump systems that are becoming the accepted norm here in Europe. They are considered safer than the pressure pot systems, which here have to be tested on an annual basis at a cost of about £125 a go plus VAT. Pressure pots are considered less safe I suppose because they could potentially explode.
Asturo have a system, the K24 which I use. It works very well and you can spray as liittle as 1/2 litre through the fluid hose. Here's a link to a US based supplier of Asturo kit. Don't let your heart pump too much when you see the price, ha, ha.

The above link takes you to the pump system I'm suggesting and within that link there's a link to the spray gun itself, so the offer they have is for the pump and the spray gun at an inclusive price. Slainte.
