I have an uninsulated portion of my basement that does not get quite as cold as outside. I live in philly where it can get pretty cold.
My question is can i locate my oiless compressor in that part of my basement without any ill affects.
I read the manual and it just says to have enough airflow. I don’t use the compressor alot, moslty for brad nailing and spraying.
Thanks,
Steve

Dear Tree,
It should be fine. I am a contractor and we use our compressors in the snow and worse, with no ill effects. The guns will ice up before the compressor gives up. The only thing that I would suggest to be religious about draining the water build up. You do that, don't run it on an extension cord and give it air, it should be fine.
Best,
John
thanks,
i was pretty sure it would be okay, but just wanted to make sure.
Steve
As with John I am a contractor and use compressors in all kinds of enviroments.
Pardon my spelling,
Mike
Make sure that your next project is beyond your skill and requires tools you don't have. You won't regret it.
