This may be a bit of a strange post at this site, but— Does anyone understand the numbering system used with the early black and white American Woodworker issues?

Yes I do. They started with Volume 1, No. 1-4 and then Volume 2, No. 1-4, this continued through Volume 3. Volume 4, No. 1-5 and Volume 5, No. 1-6. They then went to a conventional numbering system but it started with issue #12 for Jan/Feb 1990. Easy to figure out eh? Mine start with Volume 2, No. 3 so if you have any earlier issues than that and want to give them up let me know.

Thank you very much-I guess the answer is that it is as crazy as it seemed to be.Sorry - I have a couple of Vol.3 (which is why it didn't make sense) but none earlier. But now I at least know what I am missing. Thanks again!
I could not agree with you more. Thanks for your comment!
