I have a frame 7/8″ x 2 1/2″ x 14″ (approx 14″ square) to glue up – – corners have been cut at 45o and a 5/16″ spline will be used on the corners ( a floating spline ) What is the preferred method of clamping to assure all corners fit perfectly?——the corners were cut on a saw sled and to assure accuracy, the corners were cut on opposite sides of the saw blade – – thus if one corner was off +1 degree, the corresponding corner would be -1 degree.

I almost always us Merle band clamps
willy,
I do it one of two ways. Put the sled back on the table saw, lower the blade and bring the fence flush to the sled. You can then clamp to booth the sld and fence and have a nice 90 degree corner to reference. The second way is the same only I'll tack down a couple of cleats on the sled and with wedges snug everything up. good luck
unique solution BG - - I'll give it a try.
