Hey guys
I recently bought a set of marples mortice chisels because the steel was excellent quality (sheffield steel). However the handle is plastic. While its not uncomfartable to work i would prefer a wooden one. I was wondering if it is easy to change handels and if it is sturdy?
Also what type of handel do you think i should get the london pattern or the traditional capped mortise handle?
Thanks for listening and please help!!

cha,
I too have a set of the Marples mortise chisels--which are now relegated to the bench because my dear family gave me a set of Two Cherries.
Anyway, I never dreamed of replacing those ugly handles. They're practically indestructible. You can smash them with a steel hammer and never break them. That's why I'm keeping my set: in case I someday need to give a mortise chisel a really good whack.
