I’m looking to replace my 6′ folding Lufkin rule with the brass extension slide. I’d like one with a hook on the non-extending end. I think I found one at the Aubuchon Hardware website. Here’s my question – it says “hook-carded”. What does the “carded” part mean? I don’t think it refers to packaging, wool, or file cleaning, but I can’t seem to find another definition. Enlighten me please. Chairwright

I'm pretty sure it refers to the packaging, this is a common term to tell store owners that the objects will hang on a display hook.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Yep, Hammer is right, it's just the retail display packaging term. Another term you'll see is "blister pack." Don't let that one scare you, LOL!
