Try this little test – it’s fun. My best is 3.66. Convergence, right angles, and midpoint are my best. The center of the cirlce is the hardest for me.

Chris,
Pretty cool! I was all over the map, even off the map on a couple LOL! My best was 0.4 on bisecting the angle.
Pmichael,My best was 0.0 on the right angle. I haven't replicated that yet. Beat that!Chris @ http://www.flairwoodworks.com and http://www.flairwoodwork.spaces.live.com)

Only the man b/c I know when dumb luck hits me and when to quit. Maybe I have learned something from soon-to-be-ex-governor Palin.

"Only the man b/c I know when dumb luck hits me and when to quit." Randy, I subscribe to that guiding principle, too, especially when it comes to cooking. I made a phenomenal apple pie way back in ~1977. Decided after the very first bite, that was the last apple pie I'd ever make, 'cause I knew I couldn't replicate it.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I've been attempting to apply the same principle to laundry, with limited success.
"I've been attempting to apply the same principle to laundry, with limited success." eewwwwwww, I dunno about that! ROFL!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)

I throw every thing in.. One load... My whites are all sorts of colors.. Sort of like the 60/70? Tye-die.
Ok.. I am to old to try to impress some Lady....

That's really fun! I improved alot from First Try to Second Try, except for finding the midpoint of a line. It's funny, because when I have to divide a distance in half by eye when working in the shop, I'm usually super-close....
How do they figure the average? I didn't come up with the same numbers they did.

My best was 2.86, second try. Third try 2.99 so I'm gonna stop now.Brian
Jamie,You're midpoint isn't so good, eh? The first time I tried it, I didn't realize that the midpoint had to be on a line. As in straight.Chris @ http://www.flairwoodworks.com and http://www.flairwoodwork.spaces.live.com)

Circle center - 0.0, followed by 1.0. Which is good, because I make drums. However, parallelograms, not so much. 10.4, then 13.6. I shouldn't make any parallelogram drums.Cheers,Seth
My best score was on convergence, 1.0, guess I could be a good web-spinner? forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
FG,Imagine what you could catch in such a web...Lie Nielsen #8...quarter sawn cherry slabs...a Saw Stop, maybe? My son is 12, and has reached the age where he is needing to beat me at every little competition. It'll be fun to see what score he gets.Cheers,Seth
I don't really get into computer games but this one gets addictive, thanks now I;ll never get my work done
Taigert
Not very good eh?
Yeah, I got the line thing, but was off on the midpoint by...what?....15-17 units, IIRC. I'll use the excuse that we're moving a little square, not a point, throws off my vision, LOL!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I was under 3.00 fpr most but point of convergence got me. I did not understand what that was and scored 115 on it.

Mike,But you get it now, right? You want to make all three lines straight.Chris @ http://www.flairwoodworks.com and http://www.flairwoodwork.spaces.live.com)

I have to admit I didn't know what convergence meant til I read your post.

Chris,
Your inaccuracy by category:
Average error: 11.41 (lower is better)

Chris,
Yeah I see that.
Funny thing though is that my homemade pies get sliced up just fine - all the slices are equal in size. But maybe I got that from splitting candy bars with my brother when I was young. I'd split the candy bar and bro got to pick first.
Cutting them in quarters makes it easier though.

I got a 10.? something on those tests.
But I can find almost exact center on a stick of any sized wood in the shop.. Yes! I do check with a ruller to get it exact but I am usually very clost to center.
I tried it and scored a 5.0 so then took my glasses off (progressive grind) and scored a 3.78. It was fuzzy without them but with less distorsion. Did manage a 0.0 on convergance and centering the circle with glasses on but the way they mess up the parallelagram and bisecting more than offset those scores.

2.41 to start. Cancellation of errors, no doubt. I'm quitting before the second data point shows a trend.

This game is no fun. I can't seem to score higher than 0.1 or so. (sniff, sniff, big wink)
I got a 2.8. It turns out I stink at judging the equal distance from the edge of a triangle.

I happen to be good at that one, but I stink at parallegrams as I seem to always want to treat it as if it were a plane in perspective.
My eye says the test is off.Since I use my eye to calibrate my levels, someone better check the software.
