Hello Gary,
Hope all is great!
Building a base cabinet of 4 or 5 drawers of different heights with through dovetails and false or applied fronts European style with Accuride full extension.
If I have an inside opening of 24″ what is the best method to evenly space the drawers and have the same overlay of the false fronts. In other words, lets say the bottom drawer is 8″ high, do I make the false drawer front even with the bottom of the dovetailed drawer and say 1/2″ to 1″ proud of the top of the dovetailed drawer?
How do I calculate varying heights within a given opening and keep all the gaps and overhangs the same?
Thanks very much,

Thinking I got missed, that's OK we are all busy.
Syma,
I'm not sure I understand your question here. Because as you say, all you need to do is take the drawer height whatever it is and subtract for your overhang. So if the bottom drawer front is 8", the drawer box is 7 1/2". If the next drawer is 7", then the box is 6 1/2".
But it all depends upon how you want the drawer fronts to look. Help me out here. Do you want "drawers of different heights" or drawers "that are evenly spaced." In other words, what kind of look are you shooting for and how many drawers will you have? You can make them all the same height which creates some visual problems, or have them step down in size by arithmetic or geometric progressions. Then subtract the same amount each time for the drawer box that comes behind it.
