Dear Expert:
I am about to begin a major project. I plan on building an early American Bombe Chest. I have researched the Fine Woodwoprking files and printed all the relevant articles. I’d like to find someone who has had first hand experience on a similar project as a source of advice. Can you recommend someone?
Thanks,
MIKE EDWARDS

Dear MikeEd,
Thank you for your question.
I will forward your post to Gary Rogowski.
However, it looks like you did a great thing by submitting your question to the General Discussion in Knots. A lot of our readers can help you there.
Sincerely,
Gerald
Mike,
The best furniture maker in the country that I know is a guy name of Phil Lowe. He runs the Furniture Institute of Massachusetts. http://www.furnituremakingclasses.com
He won the Cartouche Award from the Society of American Period Furniture Makers a few years back. He's the best.
Give him a shout and ask your questions of him. If he doesn't know the answers, then you're asking the wrong questions. Good luck.
Gary
Gary:
Thanks for the advice! I will follow up!

Mike:
Go online to northeast woodworkers association and ask them.
One of their members built one and I attended the seminar he gave.
Also go online to olde mill cabinet shoppe, they have the plans and
the advise on building one.
good luck
