Any body from western NY, I was at the Rockler store in Buffalo and they have a slab of Bubbinga about 3’X7’X8/4 that a wowman has bought to have a table made out of. It is an amazingly beautiful piece of wood. God I wish I had the money to buy some of that wood. If you are local you should stop in and see this piece. They have one at the local Woodcraft store also but it is nothing compared to the other piece.

I hear ya! I've always said I wanted some, but just cant afford it. The woodcraft in St. Louis where I use to live had a beautiful slab of waterfall bubinga. I can buy a lot of cherry for what that one board would cost!
If you really want to look at some nice bubinga go to http://www.gilmerwood.com and look as some of the individual boars for sale. Absolutely stunning. Ambonya burl and camphor burl are others that are out of this world as well. Have a good one.

My local hardwood supplier has a HUGE slab of Bubbinga. I lost the picture I had. Or at least I forgot where I put it. I think it is Bubbinga.
Lets just say it is HUGE!
Very nice folks there (At least to me). I'd bet if you called them and asked for a cellphone photo of what is above their head. They may just do it. I cannot speak for them though. That hunk of wood is something I have never seen before. I would assume they want to sell it to some rich folk?

Yes a PLUG for them. I buy almost all of my wood from them. NO they will not know me by name. And then again they may think you are a Nut?
It is a amazing hunk of wood!
Edit: I think it is 30 foot long by 8 foot wide! NOW If I could afford the Teak they have!
