In an Australian mag back in 11/97,there was a report on a company who produced “Branding Irons” Back then they were located at 6125 Pedernal Ave Goleta CA 93117.
They would make custom irons with a company logo on the iron so you could leave a permeant mark on your work.
Has anyone used these ?
Is the address still current?
Company name was BrandNew

I don't know the company you mention, but I have seen a lot of ads for branding irons lately. I think one of the usual catalogs (LV, Rockler, GW?) has a basic one, where you specify maybe up to three lines of text @ 15 characters per line. I've seen other companies take it a bit further, they'll put your company logo, a signature, or any graphic/text into a brand.
EDIT: Just reviewed some ads from the closest-at hand mag, Woodshop News, Sept. '01. There are two companies that have web sites, BrandNew and "Engraving Arts". Their sites, respectively:
http://www.brandnew.net/
http://www.brandingirons.net/index.htm
Both sites are functional, so I assume both companies are still around. That's all the info I have on them.
If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something.
