I’ve had my eye on this router for quite some time and have been waiting for it to go on sale somewhere. I saw it online somewhere for $50 off and am thinking about getting it. I’ve read nothing but good things about it online and that’s most of the reason why I am thinking of buying it.
Have any of you folks ever used it or currently own it? What is your honest opinion of it and tell me any negative points you’ve noticed on it?
Thanks
Paul

Powerhouse, probably the biggest 110vac router in the world , tho not the most powerful. Some strange components, designed for upside down use.
Used only right side up x this operator. First class speed control & soft start. A production tool, auto motor lock. A nice tool.

That is a huge plunge-router. What would you use it for? I can't imagine using a router that large out of a table.
Actually I only want it to leave in my router table. I already have a 1-1/2HP Dewalt router (unknown model #) and I love it. It works perfectly but it has the rack & pinion I believe it's called, height adjustment feature. It's really a chore to use it upside down in a router table but it's a really nice router for benchtop work.

I used to have a !619EVS in my old router table, raising and lowering it with a RouterRaizr because I didn't like having to reach under the table to move it up and down with the built in plunge mechanism. However, I had to remove the plunge springs to to do that. I sold the whole set-up and built a new, bigger router table. I have a Milwaukee 5625 motor in a Woodhaven router lift. (I bought the whole router, including the fixed base, but you don't need the base with that lift. When I bought it, the motor alone cost as much as or more than the whole thing.) It seems to have more power. If you attach it to the table in the fixed base, you can lower and raise it from above the table, but that didn't give enough travel for my purposes. The Bosch was good, but I like the Milwaukee better.
I've had the Bosch for about three years and have had very good results with it both handheld and in a router table. The only problem I've found is that dust can get into the on/off switch and then the router stops working until you either replace the switch or take it apart and clean it. Since I have the router under a router table most of the time I now keep the switch covered with some tape to keep it clean.Noel
I'ev used a friend's...very nice router, fairly expensive, big, and has few advantages over the MW5625 and PC 7518 which are typically the highest rated table routers.
