Bosch 10 in. vs. 12 in. glide miter saw.
I have been considering purchasing Bosch’s 12″ Glide miter saw. Even though it is a space saver design, it is bigger than a non-slider and I haven’t yet come up with the space. Now I see Bosch has come out with a 10″ version. It doesn’t seem a lot smaller, but maybe enough, anyone with experience with the two and can address that? Is the 10″ just as good of a saw? Less blade deflection on the 10″? Is the capacity of a 12″ worth it?

Like everything else it depends on what you intend to use it for. If you ever plan on using it for construction / carpentry type work, e.g., wide mouldings or trim, decking, framing members, etc., the 12" is definitely the better choice. I have one of each, but my 10" is a much cheaper saw than the 12. I can't give you any info on what other tradeoffs there may be.

My 10" slider is a much cheaper single bevel saw -- Kobalt by Lowe's. My 12" is a DeWalt.
I bought the 10" as a "disposalble" saw to dedicate to Hardie siding products, but, of course, have used it for many other things since it's there. It gets handled pretty roughly, but as long as I keep it trued up, it cuts fine for what I have used it for.
