I have a 28″ X 52″ Honguras Mahogany board with one coat of polyurthene on it. 1/3 of the board has soaked up so much finish that it is extremely dark like end grain. It really looks bad.
What can I now do to even out the color?
Thanks,
Don

Remove most of the finish to bare wood. You probably can't get it all. Use a pore filler & refinish. I think.
