bleeding with quilted maple veneers

How do I minimize bleeding when using quilted maple veneers? I don’t have this problem when using other veneers.

How about a few more details. What adhesive? What substrate? Method of application? Source of veneer?

Sorry...

I'm using titebond cold press glue on a birch substrate and clamping it. The veneer came from veneersupplies.com.
