Probably like most of you I have had a bad product, thankfully, only a couple times. And, we have read too often on here of poor customer service. Sometimes the same company gets both positive and negative reviews, but thought I would share a recent one I had.
Several months ago I started on a project and bought some of the new Bessey H clamps (pipe clamps). Wouldn’t screw on the pipes I had. Figured there was some thread incompatability. Returned the clamps to Woodcraft (who cheerfully took them back with a full refund). Was pleased with Woodcraft. I have had very few problems over the years with a product, but my local Woodcraft has been great at customer service.
Learned the Bessey clamps had a problem with overspray when they first came out. Tried a new set and they work like a charm. I like the extra height above the table making it easier to turn the handles. And they turned on the pipe threads with absolutely no problem.
Although I would rather not have a problem with a product, the magic, for me, is in how the retailer and/or the manufacturer handles it. Woodcraft was great and it looks like Bessey has corrected the problem. Great customer service and response on the part of both companies.
Now, on to the next project.

product tester
I was sent an assortment of clamps to test and evaluate from Bessy. The BPC-H34 is a basic 3/4" pipe clamp with a few improvements over the old "Pony" clamps. I agree with Alan that the little feet holds the clamps in the upright position as give clearance off the workbench. They don't flop around or fall to the side as the Pony clamps have a habit of doing. The hard rubber pads on the jaws is also a nice feature.

in the long run
We seem to be saying we like the design, now if they will just last and hold up to the daily use that Pony's do.
I was equally pleased with their "customer service" attitude. Getting somewhat harder to find these days it seems.

You might consider talking to the local TV news. It's amazing what 2 minutes of negative exposure on TV will prompt big companies to do.
Over Exposure
Hi Ralph ,
You know how it goes , when an unhappy client leaves they tell 24 people in the first 30 days , when they are happy they may tell a person or two as well .
I already shared the experience with other local busines owners , I'll leave the negative press to them selves .
best regards , dusty contract signer , all dressed up and no where to go !
Clamps
I too was sent a pair of the H series clamps and found them to work very well, and do like the stability. No thread problems at all. Far superior to another older 10-15 year old Chinese version my kindly brother in law thought I might like, they have been hanging that long too. By the way, I use 3/4" ridgid galvanized electrical conduit for pipes. Dried glue pops very easily and they don't rust.
I also receive a pair of 12" EZS quick clamps and find them nicer than the Irwin version. Pretty easy to put them in spreading mode.
Overspray issue
Hi all!!!
Just wanted to comment. The overspray issue in the threads was from an earlier production run. The problem was detected and dealt with. It should not be a matter of inconsistency in current production, but inconsistency from earlier runs to later runs.

Your customer service is to be commended also. Things happen. But what counts is how you fix "things."
In this case, by all counts, you fixed a problem. That is what I, and others here are commenting on.
THANK YOU BESSEY--
