Greetings all!
Does anyone know where I can buy bed frame hardware? In particular, I need the male/female fittings that attach the runners to the head/foot board. The bed I am refinishing is about 80 years old and was built in Zurich and each runner uses a keyed attachment consisting of a brass plate with two circular brass male pin and a simple (but well made) brass plate with a pair of notched holes. Some are damaged and need to be replaced but I haven’t been able to find any suitable hardware.
Cheers,
Graham

Graham-try Rockler at http://www.rockler.com They have some stuff that might work. Also, Woodworkers Hardware (don't remember the web address).
I recently used the cam-type fastener from Rockler for a king-sized be I just finished, and was really pleased. However, this might not work for your bed. But take a look.
Graham,
There's also Van Dyke's Restorers. When it comes to hardware, if they don't have it, it doesn't exist.
