Does anyone have a source for an automatic drain valve for a shop compressor? A ¼” normally open 120v valve would be ideal.

Dunno for sure, but sounds like something that maybe McMaster Carr might carry......
There are numerous float-controlled auto drains, provided you have enough clearance on the bottom of the tank. Again, McMaster-Carr or Graingers is the place to look.
The one I have is made by MotorGuard.

The Ingersall-Rand and Motor Guard are a bit too pricy. If I can't find one for $50 I can pipe a remote valve next to the remote power switch. Harbor Freight has one for $10 but I hear it clogs too often.
How about $68?

I had the one from Harbor Freight and could never get it to work. I finally went to a local compressor shop and they recommended attaching a drain valve that I could easily access and draining it manually as needed. They couldn't even recommend one that worked well enough nor did they even carry any. I attached a tube beyond the shut off valve and drilled a hole through the wall so it drains outside. Works great and the cost was only a few dollars.
