I have been struggling with this as well.
I have a Mac , do you? I'm wondering if that is my trouble.
I choose the file ( it will only let me choose one) I click upload, and then nothing happens. There is no sign that the computer is doing anything. I have tried waiting several minutes and still nothing?????
Is this similar to your trouble?
Thanks,
Eli

I don't have a Mac. When i hit the tab it depresses but nothing happens. the other tabs work?
Try holding down the CTRL key while you press the tab.
Jack
I have the same problem. Turning off the popup blocker doesn't help and using the ctrl doesn't either.
To anyone with these problems, the following info is required for troubleshooting:
operating system
browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, etc.)forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
EWE,
Go to "Advanced Search" near top left of the screen and enter the post number "30709.2" and you will get a very comprehensive guide to posting pictures etc. that was submitted by "forestgirl". Since following her instructions I've had no trouble with posting. Bless you, forestgirl.
Attached is a picture of one of my latest creations.
You're most welcome! I'd forgotten about that, LOL. http://forums.taunton.com/fw-knots/messages?msg=30709.2
Don't know if it'll help out these guys who aren't getting their pop-up window though.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Forstgirl,
I forgot to tell you that I've been a "Mac" user since I retired in '84.
Currently not satisfied with the gliding action on my "Jake's Glider" so I'm about to do a redesign on the glider base. More about it when I get it completed
I have a mac and am able to post pics - I have a suggestion for you to try.If possible- resize your picture to very small 100x100 pixels. When I click the tab to "choose file"- all is well
when I click the tab to upload file.... nothing... at least that's what I thought... it really is uploading but with none of the usual status monitors that we are used to seeing.
So I just wait for a few seconds longer and it's up.The reason for the small file is so you can see if my suggestion actually works. a very small file on a semi fast connection should take just a short while. If you are loading giant pictures on a slow connection- it will take forever and with no status monitor- you might as well go sand something.good luck
I'm still stumped. Nothing happens when I click on "attach files." Windows XP Operating system, IE browser, pop-up blocker turned off, in advanced view. The spel check button doesn't work either. My dog still loves me though.
Same for me.
"pop-up blocker turned off" Are you sure you know about all of the pop-up blockers on your machine? That's one of the aggravations we face these days. I have 3 on my machine(!) -- Earthlink (which I'd dearly love to uninstall, but it's impossible), Google (came with the Toolbar) and the Windows version.
The fact that SpellChecker isn't working either makes it seem most likely you have a PU blocker working somewhere.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Test, w/ a handful of popup blockers kill't. BTW I LOVE this thing for scrolling on the bandsaw, well worth the $$$.
It worked, Ed! The other option is to turn off all but one PU Blocker, and then set the one remaining to "accept" popups from forums.taunton.com Should be an easy way to do that.
So, the Carter thing works great, eh?? I saw those at the last WWing show I went to. Kinda pricey, but sounds like it's done a good job for ya. You have to have the Carter guides installed, right? I went with Cool Blocks a couple years ago, just bury the blade in them. My old Grizzly 14" would be embarrased to be outfitted with those highfalutin' Carter guides, LOL!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Yup, the Carter Stabilizer works great. For scrolling I use it up top and the blade buried in ceramic blocks on the bottom. I even use an el-cheapo blade - a Vermont American 1/8 inch - and it works great. I recently cut out some tool box handles in one inch thick hickory - a tough, stringy wood, and it worked like a champ. My little scrollsaw, even with quality blades, would struggle with the hickory but the bandsaw w/ Carter Stab works great. One of the keys is to set everything up so that the small blade is exactly on the top crown of the bandsaw tires. Thanks again for recommending Louis Iturra a couple years ago where I bought all this stuff.
Long Live Louis!!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
>> My "attach files" tab will not work.
The most usual reason for this is having a pop-up blocker enabled.
