I’m building a new workbench, and I have some pretty good plans which suggest using ash because it’s less expensive than hard maple (my other choice). Given the times, less expensive is pretty appealing. Is ash a good wood to use for a workbench? I would be building a pretty tradititional bench and making a laminated top with the ash, as well.
Thanks.

WOW! That's gorgeous! Thanks for the link.
That is a fine example of an ash workbench!
Ash a good hardwood and will hold up under the wear and tear of a well-used bench.
