Anybody have the Triton 3-1/4hp router
I was thinking about getting the Triton 2-1/4 hp router for my router table for the features like above the table bit changes and the winder that lets you adjust bit height from above the table. Then I saw the 3-1/4hp model and thought that extra power might be nice, especially since the price difference isn’t that great. I can’t determine if the 3-1/4hp model has the same above the table bit changes and height adjustment features that the 2-1/4hp model has. Does anyone have personal experience with the 3-1/4hp model?

I looked at both before buying the 2 1/4 HP. unit. The 3 1/4 does not have the above table adjustment feature. I haven't connected it for my 2 1/4 yet. Doesn't seem to be a big deal. It adjust so easily without using the crank.

Qickstep,
I looked at both also and concluded the 3.25 was my preference...primarily for the power differential. The differences on bit changes are confusing, let me attempt to clarify. They both have a macro and micro adjustment. In other words, you grab the handle and squeeze the collar and raise the bit an inch or two in about a second..you can raise it up all the way and it locks on both units when the power is switched off.(the power being off is a safety feature)As your aware, the bit up all the way is for changing. This macro adjustment if done from under the table on both units. Likewise, both units have a micro adjustment for fine tuning bit height. The micro adjustment is also under the table on the front of the machine and easily turned.
The Triton 2.25 has an additional feature for fine tuning the bit height...that is a crank handle that goes through the base plate into the machine from the top. The 3.25 does not have this feature. Good luck with your decision.
