Another Jet AFS-1000B Problem-Dangerous?

Some time ago there was a thread about a problem with the AFS-1000B cycling on and off. Well count one more problem unit. Today I’m down in the shop with the unit plugged in and turned off. Then it starts cycling on for about 1 sec and off for 15 seconds….time and time again. I have now unplugged the unit.
Have others had a similar problem?

I have a Jet air filter but don't remember if it is that model (I'm not in the shop right now). Mine had lots of problems slowing down and stopping. Eventually it would not even turn on with the remote control. The problem was that the circuit board went bad. You can buy replacement circuit boards but I just bypassed it and it is now a one speed machine with a manual on/off switch. That was the last straw for me as far as Jet equipment was concerned. I have had a couple other of their products which were also disappointing.
