I am looking for sizable pieces of American Holly. Would like to have it unsewn. Need it for turning. Need diameter to be 2″ to about 14″. Freshly cut even better. Not looking for planks or chunks but the whole trunk of the tree, preferably 6 to 8 feet in length.
Anyone know of a source?

Wall Lumber has it listed under Exotic Hardwoods:

Thanks for the info. I should have been more clear. I'm looking for the trunk of the tree. Would like to have it from 2" to 14" in diameter, 6 to eight feet long. Most of these exotic lumber yards only have it in small chunks or planks.

Ed, no info in your profile as to geographic location. Whereabouts do you live? I have some holly, on the small end of your range. Still growing but needs to go. I want to keep some for myself, but could share.
Hi Forestgirl:
I'm in Marietta, GA in the Atlanta metro area. If you're close, I'll cut it for you.
Thanks for the response.

Darn, Georgia is far, far away -- I'm in Washington State. Also, I just discovered that our holly isn't the American Holly, Ilex Opaca, but is rather English Holly, Ilex aquifolium. forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I'll work to find something closer, but if you end up cutting it, keep me posted. If your holly type is as white as American Holly, I'm still interested. Stay in touch and thanks.
Ed
