Hi there
I’ve been wandering around in the electronic wilderness looking for some answers. – In my quest to have more tools than I can possibly use in this lifetime – What is the consensus on best laser level? I install a lot of cabinetry and have been looking at the Laserjamb to be used in conjunction with a laser level. I like the Hilti, but spending $430 on a blinking red light seems the mark of insanity and could end up as “exhibit ‘A'” in divorce court. All opinions, excluding those that suggest I use my beady eyeball, will be gratefully received.

This question will be answered much better over in "Breaktime". Carpenters use that tool a lot more.
If you're never going to use it outdoors, in the sun, or in the rain, you don't need a Hilti (and since when did they go all the way down to $400?!?!?)
Look at the PLS stuff. Check Amazon. Just fine for interior work. I'll save the essay on why it matters for someone setting forms. FWIW, my Hilti laser was more like 1700 and I'm still married. I gotta buy something more expensive next time.
