       I have used the add on soft close on Mepla hinges but have not seen the add on for drawers . What type of slides do they work on ?

   They are independent of the slides so they work on any slide application. HDL also only sells wholesale to the cabinetmakers.

   Have you used these add on closers? I have access to HDL materials.

   Haven't used them but appears like a simple sound idea. Look at the page in the catalog on the website. Pretty cheap so buy a couple and check it out.

   KV has recently come out with an Accuride type full extension slide with this feature at a much better price than the competition. No changes necessary.

   Keith...I think you are missing the whole point of this post. The item in question is an add on soft closer for approximately $2.50. A perfect add on for older existing drawers. I doubt changing the drawer slide to the new Accurides are even close to this modification.

   Well, Maybe, but if the OP is planning a new job, and has ruled out some of the more expensive brands because of price, but thinking of using the accuride type of full extension, then adding the closer to it. That is another piece of hardware to add, which will add an unknown quantity of time to the project. I just used the KV 8450 on a kitchen. They were only ~ $13 per drawer from my local distributor. I thought he might compare these to what he would pay for his full extension slides, plus the closer.

   I was thinking more in terms of the thousands of older kitchens with perfectly good drawr slides and being able to upgrade the kitchen with a simple. I find that folks appreciate that you are trying to look out for their interests and save them money they will allow you more freedom in other projects. If I had a bunch of kitchens under my belt I would send a mailing to inform them of the add on soft close. Bet one could pick up a lot of new referrals with it. I try to look at the big picture. BTW, I know about the Accuride. I get all the free trade journals from WoodShop News to Wood and Wood Products so I see the latest product developments.
