Accuride Draw Guid Instillation Problems
I can’t seem to figure out what is wrong, Using Accuride 3832,
Situation, finishing a desk that my son built in hight school and he use 3832 guides. When I go to insert the draw into the desk opening, it is very tight and is hard to push into the desk. In fact it don’t want to go all the way into the desk with out consderable force, and it pulls out hared also.
Thinks I have tried and check
- Draw is square
- Desk is square
- Plained the side of the draw, to increase the distance between the box and the draw.
- Removed slide from draw and installed then into the rest of the guide on the desk, the draw will silide in and out freely between the draw slides Fit is snug, but not overly tight – moves freely between the sliders.
Thoughts about how to solve this problem?

Accuride Slides
I had trouble with the Accuride drawer slides also. I lubricated them which helped a little and they seem to have gotten easier to slide after being used a bit. I had previously only used KV slides and never had a problem with them....saw a comment that KV slides are 'more forgiving' than Accuride.
