Just wondering how many of you have made the jump to 24V tools. I did it about 2 years ago when Bosch was offering a sweet deal on their new line of 24V tools. I picked up a drill, circ combo pack, with the free sawzall by mail. Later I picked up a second drill when HD was closing out their line.
I have enjoyed the corded type power, the batteries last a long time, and the Bosch quality is their usual excellent. My only complaint is the battery catches seem kind of flimsy, though they haven’t given me any trouble falling out so far; if anything, it is sometimes hard to pull them out. The charger also seems like a flimsy connection to the battery (it just kind of rests in the hole, not snap in), but also has never given me a problem.
Of course you gotta love the weight of the tools when working overhead. A big switch from my old Makita 9.6V stick battery tools.
anyway, just curious to see other people’s opinions. and I get to be first on the new folder.
