Can anyone comment on if the LT16 made in 1994 was a good model? I am considering a used one versus the newer Grizzly 14″ models.
Thanks

Is this a different LT16 or Grizzly than you asked about yesterday:

We have a Luguna 16" saw from a couple years later. These saws were supplied with Italian non-capacitor start motors. To turn them on you turn the switch and hold it at the start position and, after the motor reaches speed, release it. The spring-loaded switch then returns to the run position. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. There's no capacitor to wear out but you won't find any of the electrical replacement parts commonly available. I'm concerned that future repairs on the one we own will be very expensive if we can even get the replacement parts. You might want to check with Laguna and make sure they stock replacement parts and see how much they might cost before you consider the Laguna saw.
