Information A La Carte: A New Way to Buy Books
Introducing a service that allows you to preview, download, and buy only the chapters you want from selected woodworking books published by The Taunton PressThe Taunton Press, publisher of FWW and FineWoodworking.com, has launched a new eBook service that makes it easier to buy just the information you want from selected woodworking books.
The service will seem familiar to anyone who has bought music from the Apple iTunes Store. At the Taunton Store, you can now preview the content of each chapter in a book and then buy and download that chapter as an Adobe PDF file. Or, if you wish, you can buy and download the entire book as a PDF file. You always have the option of buying the conventional printed book.
You can preview the content of each chapter in a woodworking eBook, to help you decide whether it’s one you want to buy.
Chapters or complete books in electronic form are less expensive than the paper-and-ink counterparts. Individual chapters cost $1.99 each; complete electronic books cost $14.95. The conventional versions range in price from $19.95 to $34.95.
