Garrett Hack at Lie-Nielsen Event
FWW contributor to demonstrate hand-tool skills at North Bennet St. School Nov. 30 and Dec. 1Garrett Hack, a contributing editor to Fine Woodworking, will represent the magazine at the upcoming Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Event in Arlington, Mass. The event will be held at the North Bennet Street School on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
Hack, the author of numerous articles for FWW as well as several books, will be demonstrating hand-tool skills, such as tuning and using hand planes. He will join several other FWW contributors and noted tool manufacturers for the two-day event. Contributing editor Steve Latta will demonstrate a new line of tools for doing string inlays, which he developed with Lie-Nielsen. Brian Boggs, a master chair maker and longtime contributor to FWW, will demonstrate his chair-making techniques and donate the chair he builds as a door prize.
Two makers of high-end tools, John Economacki of Bridge City Tool Works, and Konrad Sauer of Sauer & Steiner Toolworks, will also be on hand to demonstrate their products.
