In this video, furniture maker Charles Shackleton, of Bridgeport, Vermont, divides the face of the turning into four parts, draws in the flower petals, and then adds the details with a couple of chisels. When finished and mounted in a shallow hole, the rosette appears carved into the solid wood of the workpiece.
