Build a Shelf Pin Drilling Jig
Learn how to build a shelf pin drilling jig that's easy to use and dead-on accurate. When it comes to drilling shelf pins, accurate repetition is crucial. You could layout and drill your holes individually, but this is cumbersome and time-consuming at best.
In this Fast Fix video, Fine Woodworking contributor John White shows you how to build a simple shelf pin drilling jig from nothing more than a few shop scraps. It’s quick, easy, and dead-on accurate. Built from birch plywood scraps and a small dowel, the jig relies on the previously drilled hole as a guide for the next hole, ensuring that your shelf pins line up perfectly when it comes time to adjust your shelf heights.
