This design came out of talking to my design class about what a table really is; "describe it," I said, and they said "square with a leg in each corner", amongst others. What does the leg look like and why is is there and not anywhere else? My probing questions were an attempt to get them to break down the concept of what a table is for, and why it looks the way it does. You get to have most fun with the legs at times and this design simply was taking a square piece of paper and making a cut parallel to the side on all four sides. The "leg" dropped down and made itself present. I've made dozens and dozens.
