Bamboo boomerang

Here's a boomerang made from a bamboo cutting board with a lap joint at the elbow. I'm posting the photo as there is currently a discussion on FWW about bamboo as a woodworking material.

Bamboo works fine as a material for boomerangs. Working it with hand tools, though, was somewhat unpleasant, as it is wears blades down quickly and tends to tear out in long splinters.
