The scrap pile in the corner of the shop was getting too big and I also needed some end tables and bedside tables for a beach cabin on the Oregon coast. This gave a perfect opportunity to let my imagination run wild and see what I could do. In addition, this was a simple “weekend” project (OK, maybe slightly longer). Woods used for the four tables were curly maple, cherry, black walnut, bubinga, and some unknown scrap from a pallet. The available wood pretty much designed the pieces as far as height, width, etc. Some parts such as the curved laminations were already laminated and left over from design changes on my dining room table.

I think it is amazing that an individual can design not only one table, but several more, all with incredibly different styles and shapes. It appears he has quite the creative mind, able to take his "leftovers" and turn them into beautiful pieces of art, all of which are uniquely appealing. "You go guy"!

Your table is both ingenious and graceful
really cool tables... reminds me of an ironing board.
