A friend asked for a large dresser in an "old world" style and supplied a couple of internet images for reference. She also wanted plentiful Rosewood displayed along with separate storage for her ample jewelry collection. We agreed on a unit 43"high with a footprint of 58"x 23". The resulting piece has considerable drawer space with a flat jewelry drawer integrated into the upper crown molding and vertical slide-out necklace trays fitted into each end panel.

The Rosewood veneer panels are framed in African mahogany and the piece is finished with multiple coats of polyurethane. The dovetailed drawers are maple and interior carcass components are poplar with mahogany faces. Brackets and exposed cut nailheads add period details.
