Video Length: 3:59 Produced By: Gary Junken

If you've ever struggled to install new knives on your jointer, you'll appreciate this knife-setting jig from John White, shop manager at Fine Woodworking. In this video White details how to construct the jig, which uses magnets to set the knives even with the surface of the jointer. White also demonstrates how to use the jig to set jointer blades so they cut evenly and accurately. Scrap wood, common silicone adhesive, and several magnets are all you need to get started.
