Video Length: 6:14 Produced By: Gina Eide and Gary Junken

After much anticipation and several missed release dates, SawStop is finally ready to introduce its version of a 10-in. contractor's saw. The saw is scheduled to be available in June, but I was able to examine a pre-release sample.

I tested the brake mechanism by running a hot dog into the blade. See the two trials, once with a regular blade and once with a dado-blade stack. In the video, I also give an up-close look at the machine features from the casters to the braking-cartridge assembly.

I also checked the saw for table flatness, parallelism, runout, etc. Click here to read the full results.
