WWA TSUNAMI Chest is up and running!!!
The Tsunami Hope Chest auction is up and running! For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, the WWA woodworkers organization (international, based in USA) raised about $3,000 and commissioned Dave Shaw of Australian Wood Art to design and build the chest. The wood is fantastic and the design and construction are too!
Please take a look (click here), maybe visit the links provided — you can see the construction process by visiting Dave’s link and looking around there. If you know anyone with deeeeep pockets and a kind heart, send them the link! Proceeds to Mercy Corps Tsunami Relief fund.
Yours truly wrote the description and runs the auction. Try to imagine the page with a soft yellow background! The HTML for that part didn’t translate on eBay, sad to say.

Saw it featured on the latest Lee Valley catalogue and loved it. Good luck with the auction!
Just an amazing piece of work. Good luck on the auction - already too high for me :-)

Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with an ax.
Thanks for the best wishes, keep the good karma coming! The last few days have been an experience!
Anyone out there who has a good media contact, feel free to give them a head's-up. There's a press release all spelled out on the WWA site.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
